چکیده

The present study was designed and conducted to choose an ideal storage condition for goat sera samples meant for the assay of hepatobiliary enzymes such as, alanine aminotransferases(ALT), aspartate aminotransferases (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and gamma glutamyltransferases (GGT) by storing at room temperature, 4 oC and -20 oC up to 14 days. Gamma glutamyltransferase was found to be the most stable enzyme in all the three storage conditions through out the study period. Alanine aminotransferase was stable only up to 8 days at 4 oC whereas marked stability was noticed at -20 oC and room temperature as long as 14 days. Aspartate aminotransferase was more stable at -20 oC up to14 days and 11 days at 4 oC whereas at room temperature only 2 days. Alkaline phosphatase showed great variation upon storage as compared to other hepatobiliary enzymes and it is suggested that its estimation should be performed in fresh serum samples to get a more accurate result. From these results it is therefore advisable to consider stability of each serum hepatobiliary enzymes for different animals separately before preserving sera samples to get more valid and reliable result.

P-114: Effect of In Situ Cool Storage on Goat Epididymal Sperm

Background: Short time preservation of semen is common in animals (e.g. horse or pig etc…) which their sperm in known as freezing sensitive sperm. It also may use for short transportation of other species to be cryopreserved or use in AI or IVF programs. The aim of the present study was to evaluate effects of duration of cool storage on goat epididymal sperm. Materials and Methods: Total number...

Influences of Brassinosteroide and Hot Water on Postharvest Enzyme Activity and Lipid Peroxidaion of Lime (Citrus aurantifolia L.) Fruit During Storage at Cold Temperature

Storage of Lime (Citrus aurantifolia L.) fruits, originally a tropical fruits, in low temperature confronts with several difficulties  due to the risk of chilling injury (CI). To develop an effective method aiming to  reduce CI, the effects of treatments containing 0, 0.5 and 1 Mg/lit brassinosteroids (BRs) and hot water (HW) including 20°C as control, 45 and 55°C for 30 minute on CI was studie...

P-93: Comparison of TRIS and TALP in Reversibility of The Goat Epididymal Sperm Motility Following Exposure to Different Sucrose Concentrations

Background: Nowadays, cryoprotectant-free vitrification of human sperm in large or small volumes facilitated storage and use of human sperm for long time. However, this procedure was not successful in farm animals. The main finding in the studies is higher sensitivity of these kinds of sperm to sucrose osmolarities. Preliminary studies showed a reversible effect of sucrose on goat epididymal sp...
